What is Avon About?
Avon was founded over 130 years ago. It has grown much since then, and today it is all about a low cost quality product that you can sell and build an organization by it. I have always been curious as to what it would be like to become an Avon representative, so it is with much pleasure that I bring you this review. So many people think it is a scam, but it’s not. It is a legitimate mlm (multi level marketing) opportunity.
Fun fact: In the 1880s, Avon Founder David H. McConnell actually started out as a book salesman. While selling his books, he would give out free perfumes to the women as a bonus. Low and behold, the women loved the perfume more than the books! From his small office in new york city he went on to recruit his first group of women sales representatives.
The Good & the Bad
PRO #1 – low start up costs
PRO #2 – chance to build an organization
PRO #3 – low cost products
PRO #4 – replica marketing website
CON #1 – direct selling and recruiting
This is one of those hard to compare opportunities because though there are more PROS than CONS, the one CON alone may be heavier to most. Personally, I had a run in with Amway several years ago, and I hated it! I do not like direct sales, nor recruiting.

My Final Opinion of Avon
Me and Avon go way back! Gosh, couldn’t you agree? I remember seeing this opportunity when I was a teenager just learning about business. I always thought it was a scam, as most think about mlm (multi level marketing) businesses. However, after been able to review around 60 mlm opportunities I’ve found that Avon it one of the best ones. I have several mlm businesses that I’ve labeled good in my menu above.
This may be something I can recommend to my wife or teenage daughters, but everyone must remember one thing. Business is not easy! Once you’re in it, if you don’t expect to be in it for the long haul, you’re going to fail. To become a representative with Avon, expect to push yourself out of your comfort zone. You will need to learn how to sell, and recommend products. Not to mention recruit and learn to manage a team.
