What is Enagic’s Kangen Water All About?

Enagic is a company over 40 years old which specializes in the sales of water ionizers aka Kangen Water machines. These machines are very pricey but designed to save you money through the long term. There is controversy whether alkaline water, produced by these kangen machines, are good for you or not. I’ll elaborate through my review. Enagic offers a lucrative compensation plan for the sales of these machines.

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

PRO #1 – Drink Alkaline water. (can be a bad thing)
PRO #2 – Lucrative Compensation Plan
PRO #3 – Devices serve multiple purposes.

The Bad:

CON #1 – Very expensive (initial costs)
CON #2 – Controversial
CON #3 – Can be bad for your health.

Who is Enagic’s Kangen Water For?

what is enagic kangen water a scamKangen Water has been said to offer major health benefits. They state that the alkaline water serves as an antioxidant for your body. It can be very confusing but basically the human body needs a pH level of 7.4 to survive. Regular drinks such as purified water, tap water, juices, and sodas have a lot of acidity in them.

The controversy lies within whether acidity is good or bad for you. There are medical experts who say that your body needs acidity to fight off bacteria and diseases, but other scientists recommending alkalinity state the opposite. That Alkalinity is better for you to cure illnesses.

In My Own Opinion…

Your stomach has a pH level in the 2s to break down food and fight off the bacteria and diseases. Water within the 2 pH levels is said to serve as an antibacterial for uses such as hand washing and cleaning. Enagic actually agrees with this. Therefore I feel too much consumption of this alkaline water can probably have the adverse effect of what it says it does. Many argue that too much of anything of course is bad for you.

* You can become a distributor by selling one of the machines. You will get a distributor number and become what they call a Tokurei Distributor. With this membership you will get full commission for the product minus the special point ($55 – $400), and you get $75 towards any machine. Once you have purchased the machine in full you can begin to receive full commissions.

Again, Enagic distributors are eligible for full commissions. You can also finance the machine for $558 down and 16 payments of $225/month. There is also a financing option to get the product for $0 down and $45/month, but you need to finance through a third party.

How Do You Earn Money With Enagic’s Kangen Water?

6 Ranks

1A
2A – 2 units
3A – 10 units
4A – 20 Units
5A – 50 Units
6A- 100

To move up in ranks you must sell a combined amount of units in the amounts shown above. You can get help from your group sales to climb rank but you need to have at least 1 direct sale to achieve each advancement. The very first sale of each rank advancement also needs to be your own (i.e. you must make your fourth direct sale after the 10 units to move up to 4A.) This structure is so that you do not rely on other member’s sales to climb ranks.** You will however still earn commissions on all your group’s sales within your point system which I’ll discuss shortly.

** You can also skip ranks. (i.e. if you’re in 2A and your whole group and yourself sale a total of 20 units, you can skip straight up to 4A.)

what is enagic kangen water a scam

1A stands for 1 point each or $285 per unit sold 8 levels down. ‘A’ stands for agent.

2A stands for 2 points each or $570 per unit sold 7 levels down. So you will receive this commission for every member’s sales down to 7 levels. Once someone gets recruited 8 levels down you no longer receive those commission going deeper. See the chart as a reference tool. Any questions on this particular topic, please leave questions below.

Special Point System

There is also a point system aka special points, or simply put, an added bonus for each unit sold throughout the 6 lines, or ranks. So in 1A it is 1 point each all the way through up to 6A which is 6 points each. Different products have different bonuses such as the Sun US qualifies for a $55 bonus, and the Super 501 qualifies for $400.

what is enagic kangen water a scamFor example, if you were in 3A (you get 3 points each), and there were a combined sales amount of 2 Super 501 units sold within your 3A line, you get $400 x 3 points = $1200 each which will give you a product of $2,400 for the 2 units sold.

Important Please Note: points work according to each line. If you are in 5A and you and a member from your 2A line sales one of those Super 501 units, you get 5 points for yourself but will still only get 2 points for that unit your team member sold. Also, you must be an Enagic Distributor to qualify for special points.

Something really nice about Enagic is that every time a sale is made, they cut out a check to you.

My Final Opinion of Enagic’s Kangen Water

The compensation plan can be really confusing at first but nevertheless you can see this business model can be quite lucrative. The idea is that you share the water system with everyone you can and build a team for yourself.  As I mentioned early I do not believe in the whole alkaline water idea, but if you believe the contrary, it may be something worth considering.

what is enagic kangen water a scamMay I suggest something a little easier and legitimate? Get into internet or affiliate marketing. You solely work for yourself, and your compensation plan is based on solely your work. It’s an easy business model to understand as well! Affiliate marketing has been around since the beginning of the internet, and is growing rapidly. Would you find building a website fun and promoting products? You’ll have the luxury of working online, work at your own pace, and no need to depend on a team to succeed.

Check Out My #1 Recommendation. No Confusing Compensation Plans. No Recruiting. Work for Yourself!

  1. Hi there,

Good post. i have heard of kangan here in Australia and didn’t know a lot about them. Your article certainly helped me.

Yes they are expensive and the good and bad points are interesting. I know an alkaline body is a good thing but we do need acid also. Thats where it gets very confusing.

We use a water filter to filter out all the nasties in tap water and find that really good.

Will stick to what I know I think. Thanks again,

    Kev

    1. Kevin, you’re most welcome. I’m glad I could shed some light on the business opportunity at Enagic and Kangen Water. I completely understand how confusing the whole product and purpose of alkaline water could be. There is a lot of controversy about it.

I could tell you that the water is really tasteful. My Mom had a device, and I used to love drinking the water from it. I tastes a lot cleaner, but as you said we don’t know if we actually need this acid in our system. According to some professionals we do, so I’ll just stay away from the water and business opp.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Interesting post on Kangen Water.

I drink a lot of water myself and just tend to get it from the tap. Sometimes will buy bottled water in the summer for trips.

Just as you I don’t think that Enagic has anything special here, therefore I could not really get my self involved with this product.

I did check out your Wealthy Affiliate review and plan to try the free trial. How long do you think before I could get my first website built?

    1. Chris, I’m glad we feel the same about Enagic’s Kangen Water. I used to think it was a really interesting business opportunity. My Mom was introduced to it by a co-worker. Both ladies are professionals in the cosmetology field and are both really well off financially. I don’t think that either ladies did their research though on how good this water can actually be for you.

I prefer to play it safe and stay away from it. I agree with the medical experts that say our body needs the acidity. You’re probably better off drinking tap water.;-) As far as Wealthy Affiliate, I’m glad you’re giving it a try. It is truly risk free and I know you’ll enjoy it. It took me 2-3 days to have my first website up and running.

My first day at WA, I did my initial groundwork which was to do a mind shift. Many people think making money online or offline is fast. It’s the contrary, and it takes a lot of hard work, but if you’re willing to commit for the outcome of time freedom you will do it. On the second day, I did some groundwork on choosing a niche, and then I launched my first website.

I went on to create another website and another. Once you know how to do one, it’s like riding a bike. The time frame is totally up to you though. Everyone is different, some work at faster pace than others. You can surely have your website up in one day.

      Good luck to you,

      Jonathan
