3 Ways to Make Money With Websites – Training Included

You may have heard the term making money online, and wondered how people do it. Then, you found out that people are making money with websites. You have come to the right place, because I am going to discuss in depth with you three ways that you can make money with websites.

1. Affiliate Marketing

If you didn’t know, you can partner with other companies and earn commissions while assisting them in generating sales. Say what!?

Companies such as Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy, too name a few. For example, let’s look at Amazon. Did you know Amazon is making billions of dollars per year. They are not just doing it on their own.

Regular people like you and me, are helping them do it, and in turn earning commissions off of it. What does that look like? Building websites.

Which takes me to my next case in point, Niche Marketing.

A niche is a targeted audience. For example, people who like to hunt, people who like soccer, people who like to go fishing, etc. As you can imagine, there are thousands of different niches.

You would choose a niche, then build a website based around that niche. For instance, take hunting for example. People are constantly looking for hunting gear, and equipment such as rifles, ropes, tents, etc.

Where do you think they sell those items at? Yep, Amazon. So you would write a blog post, sort of like this one, except it would be about certain gear for hunting. For example, Top 5 things you must bring with you to hunt for deer.

For a hunting enthusiast, I am sure they could come up with more than that. So you inform or persuade your reader to check out the equipment, for which you provide a link, that will direct them to Amazon.

Once the person checks out with their purchase at Amazon, you get paid! Amazon pays something like 4-6% commission on sales. Don’t quote me on it, it may be more.

Let’s say the person purchases about $400 in equipment. Well Amazon will send you a commission for $16-$24. It may seem like a small amount of money, but these sales can snowball, if you are sending 100s of people to Amazon on a monthly basis.

If you have 10,000s people visiting your website every money, imagine how many people will take your recommendations and purchase through your links. The great thing about Amazon as well, is that they pay you commission, not only on the equipment you assisted with advertising, but the whole cart that which the customer checks out with.

Check out this video on how that works.

2) Advertisements

One of the major ad revenue providers on the internet is Google Adsense. Who would have figured? Well Google has about 70% or more of the market share, when it comes to an internet search provider.

What is Google Adsense? Well Google does all the work. You just give them permission to post their ads on your website.

Have you ever noticed while you were browsing through the internet, you will see random ads show up on the screen, or the side bar. Google does a great job of making these ads relevant to the end user.

They basically have an algorithm that shows them the last things that you have been shopping for, in the last 30 days or so, and they will populate these things through ads on your website.

Every time someone clicks on the ad, you get paid! Easy peasy right. The hard part is doing the work. What do you have to do?

a. Build a website

With companies such as Wealthy Affiliate, they are an online platform that not only provide all the tools to build the website that you need, but the training to do it. You can build a website, in literally minutes.

b. Create content

You need to have places for Google to post their ads, if you choose to opt into their program. Once you have your website in place, you can create content such as writing blog posts.

Similar to Affiliate Marketing, you choose a niche that you are particularly interested in. Something that you know well, or would like to learn about and the research for. Then you provide content for the end user.

There is something else called search engine optimization, or seo. People go into the search field at Google, use a word phrase to search what they are looking for, and Google populates the results.

You will want to optimize your content, to show up on those results. Preferably on the first page. It’s not hard at all, once you know how to do it. Again, Wealthy Affiliate, that training platform I informed you about earlier, offers the training to do this.

I also, wrote a more in depth blog post about it here

3. Selling Websites

Did you know you could sell websites? There are places online that offer you money for your website. Let’s say you build a website and you don’t want it anymore, you can go to these places and sell your website to them.

I found a place off of Google once, and checked it out just to see how much they would offer me for my website. It was not much, I think it was like $150, so I decided to keep it instead. I have heard of people selling their website for over $10,000 though. So there is a lot of potential here.

There is another place I know of called Human Proof Designs, where they actually build niche websites, create content, and get them ranking in Google already for you before they sell them.

I searched through their inventory once, and found some pretty interesting websites. I think I found one as low as $700-$800. Then they went up from there.

The owner of this company, actually started out at Wealthy Affiliate. He went from making $0, to millions online.

Conclusion

I don’t want you to think you will be making millions online, or that you can achieve overnight success, but just want to show that there is potential. You may be like me, and just satisfied with generating a full time income online. Then you  can build websites, whatever you are interested in, and monetize them.

The first two methods of making money with websites that I mentioned earlier on this post, are probably the best ways to do it. You can do it on your own terms, at your own pace.

Making money will not come fast, you should be forewarned. It definitely is a process. You have to build your website, create content, and get it ranked in Google. You could also take advantage of PPC, pay per click marketing. Which is also offered on Google at Google Adwords.

I talk more about PPC Marketing here. This takes a lot more money to invest, but you can stick with  getting your content ranked in Google for free. This is known as organic traffic.

If you need help with this, please check out my full review on Wealthy Affiliate here. Consider using one of links to create your account there, and I can assist you with anything you may need help with along the way.
