What is Park Lane Jewelry All About?

For over 60 years Park Lane Jewelry has been in full effect providing an opportunity for people to sell jewelry and build an organization. I do a ton of reviews on mlm products and this one has slightly of a better compensation plan. I like it because it is a little simple and the product line is not too complicated. Expensive, but not complicated. You basically make money doing shows (home parties) and direct sales. They give you a website and a back office and boom you have a business. Plus it’s slightly inexpensive to get started, but in a little bit I’ll tell why it won’t work for me.

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

PRO #1 – Get started for a $39 Registration fee.
PRO #2 – Get a replicated website
PRO #3 – Opportunity to build an organization

The Bad:

CON #1 – Woah, expensive jewelry!
CON #2 – Direct sales, and recruiting
CON #3 – Some jewelry is slightly antiquated

Who is The Business Opportunity at Park Lane Jewelry For?

  • mlmAnyone who wants to build a business selling jewelry.
  • Someone who is experience in mlm businesses and wants to leverage the compensation plan.
  • If you’re passionate about jewelry.
  • If you like to host guest at your house and want to spice things up a bit.
  • If you want to be apart of a network of women.

Who is it Not For…

  • Not for you if you’re looking for a job. Supplemental income yes, but not sole income. Unless you’re a stay at home mom and you want to start your own business.
  • Not for people who do not have patience. Building a business takes time.

Can You Really Make Money Selling Park Lane Jewelry? | Compensation Plan

Fashion Director – earn 30% on PV (Personal Volume)
Earn an additional 2% for sales >$5k
Move to the next rank with 4 qualified shows, and 1 qualified recruit.

Branch Director – Earn 35% on PV
Earn up to 10% Weekly Overrides for higher sales volume. This is in additional to your sales commission.
Become eligible for the car bonus. Park Lane will give you $700/monthly with documentation of a white Mercedes Lease, or $500/month to any other vehicle.
Move up to the next rank by developing 2 BDs (Branch Directors), average 4 shows plus $6k PV/GV (Group Volume) for 2 consecutive months.

compensation planRegion Manager – Earns 35% commission on PV
Up to $50 bonus for weekly PV achievements.
6% Weekly Overrides on FDs and BDs and their GV (that’s actually good).
Up to $500 Weekly GV Bonus for achieving higher GV (i.e. $10,500 GV = $500 bonus)
Up to $50 Weekly Activity Bonus for developing BDs.
Move to the next rank by averaging 5 shows per 2 months, and 5 qualified personal/group recruits (min. 2 personal).

Area Manager – earn 40-50% commission (wow!)
Weekly Overrides – these are bonuses you earn off of the sales of your group. 10% on FDs, 6% on BDs, and 3% on Regions and their GV.
Annual Bonuses up to $10k
Move up to the next rank by generating $20k in PV/GV within 2 months, and develop 4 BD, or 3 first generation areas.

Commercial Break: Generations are pretty cool. In the past mlms would stop paying once a distributor reach a certain level. Now most mlms pay a small percentage on their PV/GV, which is actually really good. They wouldn’t be an Area Manager if they weren’t already making a lot of sales. For instance, within Park Lane, once one of your recruits reaches Area Manager, they branch out. In the past, you wouldn’t get any more commission off of this distributor. Now however, you’ll receive a small percentage of their entire network. Again, this actually comes out to be really good. You will want to build up to this.

mlmDivision Manager – Earns 45% Commission on PV
Weekly Overrides:
15% of FDs
8% on BDs and their GV
5% on Regions and their GV
3% on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Generations and their GV

Monthly Recruiting Sales $500 Bonus if you get 10 qualified personal/group recruits.
Monthly Sales $500 Bonus for sales >$10k
Move up to next rank if you generate $60k PV/GV in Sales for 2 months and develop BBDs/Managers.

Sr.Division Manager

Sales Vice President

As you can imagine the incentives get better as you move higher through the ranks. What’s cooler about the last two ranks is you can qualify for free jewelry samples and supplies. If you would like to see the full details of the compensation visit this link for an easy to read pdf.

My Final Opinion of Park Lane Jewelry

sleezy salesmanI’m glad I took the time to review Park Lane Jewelry because at first, I did not like it for one bit. I still don’t like it but at least now I can make a proper recommendation. I would recommend this opportunity to someone who could do well with marketing. All you really have to do is find a few friends, family members, co-workers, etc. and throw some home parties. Then you can leverage the market online. Personally, I’m tired of the hustle. I don’t want to sell you a product, I don’t want to recruit you. I could do those things, but I would prefer for it to come naturally.

So it is, the business model at Wealthy Affiliate. Choose a passion is step #1, and because of this I believe you can go far. Then you can do like our buddy Tai Lopez says, do something you like, not something you love because one day you’ll wake up and not like it anymore. That’s a little bit far stretched, but I just thought that I should mention it. If you don’t have a passion for selling jewelry, I suggest you take a look at my #1 recommendation. It is a universal product, you can choose any product you want to sell, and the best part, YOU DON’T HAVE TO RECRUIT ANYONE!

  1. All MLM’s are is a hustle from day one. I don’t like the idea of selling to the people you’re closest to. That’s why I wouldn’t be good at that business model. Starting a business with Park Lane sounds good for people who have a knack for marketing like you said, but isn’t for everybody. I will say the 40-50%! commission looks nice if you can climb high enough to get it. I imagine very few reach that level, though. I appreciate the unbiased review

    1. Jason, thanks for your comment! You’re absolutely right, if you can climb high enough. I believe where there is the drive, you can be successful. It’s like climbing the highest mountain. With the right planning, tools, and training, you have to be able to make it. I believe that people can achieve anything with the ambition, dedication, and commitment to do so. Whether it is with Park Lane Jewelry or another business opportunity, you can do it!

My approach is to do something you’re passionate about. Be committed and stick in there for the long haul. Success is your destination, all you have to do is follow a path. You will enjoy small successes along the way, and there is always a higher mountain to climb. I hope this could provide some inspiration for others.

  2. Thanks for your review of Park Lane Jewelry. This mlm opportunity seems like it would be more so for woman as men are not as fascinated with jewelry. I have past experience in a mlm company called world ventures which based their product on travel. To say I would not ever get involved with an mlm opportunity again may be a stretch, but like you said I would rather build a business without having to recruit as a primary source for success.

    1. Interesting. I find it to be the primary source of success as well! The way I see it is if you don’t recruit you will not reap the most benefits. You can surely sell as many products as you can (sort of like what I did for Amway), but you will only be making those commissions and done; nothing else rolling in. Unless your consumers renew their products or joins the autoship program. Recruiting opens the doors to passive income

No matter what, people will continue to join these opportunities to make money. In today’s society we’ve been trained to want more and never be satisfied. We will always continue to look forward and how to make more money. Park Lane Jewelry is a perfect example of what you can do which is to take a niche like jewelry and make a business out of it. I like the idea, but like you, cannot get onboard with recruiting.

Just to touch up on what I said earlier about recruiting, is the more people that join your team the more people will continue to make money and in turn make you money. The ball never stops rolling, so long as you don’t stop. Unlike internet marketing, mlms have requirements that will not allow it to be considered true passive income because if you don’t meet those, you don’t get paid!
