What is Inbox Dollars About?

Inbox Dollars is a research marketing/advertising website. Notice that there are advertisements everywhere on the page. Everytime you click and sign up to anything they advertise within their website they make money and give you a small token of appreciation. They also offer videos to watch with are also advertisements because every time you watch one they get paid again, but only pay you cents! They are most famous for the ability to fill out online surveys which as you know will pay you a little bit to fill out. I wouldn’t waste my time taking any surveys because the majority of them only pay an average of .50 cents for a 20 minute survey; which comes out to $1.50 an hour! 😡

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

PRO #1 – Free to Join

PRO #2 – Tons of advertisements; that you may like.

PRO #3 – Variety of ways to earn pocket change online! (Tv, videos, surveys, etc.)

The Bad:

CON #1 – Very limited earning potential.

CON #2 – The math comes out to about $1.50 an hour.

CON #3 – You have to share you personal information in many places.

CON #4 – Many advertisements are misleading. (In my own opinion)

Who is Inbox Dollars For?

  • I believe anyone that is 13 years and older can register to Inbox Dollars.
  • For anyone who is a beginner to earning money online, and maybe want to get their feet wet.
  • You can make money online. It does take hard work. You don’t have to take nonsense surveys to do so. You just have to learn how to really do it!

Inbox Dollars Tools & Training

Inbox Dollars has very informative training tutorials and a video to show you how to earn money on their website. I got to say I was really impressed because most of online survey companies do not have this, or it is not as extensive.

what is inbox dollars a scam reviewThey have a neat mascot, a dollar bill named Billy, that informs you on how to earn money with the different methods they have through the website. Whether is it through their affiliates, online surveys, videos, etc. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and select ‘member guide’ to take advantage of their training. I give them a thumbs up on training!

Inbox Dollars Support

Inbox Dollars has one of the most helpful support centers on their website that I’ve seen. You can scroll down to the bottom of their website and click on ‘Contact Us’. There you will find several options pertaining to what you need help with and how to resolve your problem or issue. If you need additional help they have an email address that you can send a message too.

Inbox Dollars Price, How to Earn Money, & How to Get Paid?

Currently Inbox Dollars is free to join.

Their most popular ways to earn money:

  • Reading their PaidMail, or emails and clicking on the link below the email to earn cents that way.
  • They have an abundance of Offers through out their website. Clicking on any one and registering, or signing up for an offer will pay you a certain amount (advertised).
  • Online surveys – So this is the tricky one. Any survey that you qualify for and complete you will earn a little money on. On average you should get paid about .50 cents per survey. Keep in mind, you will not qualify for all surveys. Usually less that 50% of surveys. On average a survey takes about 20 minutes to complete.
  • They have Free Games and Paid Games that you can register for and earn a little money. Please play at your own risk. You wouldn’t want to lose money playing games.
  • Just like Google or Yahoo, Inbox Dollars has a search engine that you can get paid up to .15 cents per day just for using their search engine.
  • You can also earn  a few cents for watching videos.
How to Get Paid?

There are 3 ways to get paid at Inbox Dollars:

  1. You can choose from over 50 gift cards to redeem your money for.
  2. You can request a prepaid visa card.
  3. Or, you can choose for Inbox Dollars to send you a check in the mail with your earning.

* Anyone who makes more that $600 in a calendar year will need to complete a 1099 and report it as income.

My Final Opinion of Inbox Dollars & the Twist!

Inbox Dollars is a neat and fun website to visit. You can certainly utilize their website for passing time and earn a little change for it. Why not earn a little while having fun online! Inbox Dollars is one of the original online survey taking websites and I can certainly tell that they have come a long way. I admire their fun website and user friendly capabilities.

The Twist

I am an internet marketer, so I make money online for a living. I do not recommend Inbox Dollars for people who want to make money online. Making money online is so much more than filling out surveys and watching videos. As a matter of fact you could build a website just like Inbox Dollars and make a fortune off of it! Just saying. 🙂

When I visit a website like Inbox Dollars and others, I’m almost insulted because if you’re anything like me, you’re looking for a legitimate way to make money online; whether to supplement your income or earn a full time income.

  1. Hello Jonathan

Well what do you know, another survey site?

Haven’t people wised up to these sites yet I have to ask myself?

I used to take part in them when the Internet was invented (yes I’m that old lol).

But even back then you where only making cents and working long hours for it.

As far as I’m concerned they are not worth wasting time you can be using to make an income from home on the internet for a lot more money.

Sorry Jonathon but its not for me.

Much better to go with your recommendation and make some real money.

    Have a great day.

    Robert Allan

    • Hey thanks Robert!

I couldn’t agree with you more. Online surveys are a complete waste of time. Don’t get me wrong you can make some money quick online this way, but it’s not worth the time. You literally make cents on the dollar.

I prefer to go with a better business model such as affiliate marketing. People have been making a full time income and more online for as long as the internet has been around. It’s only a matter of learning the methods that are proven and applying the work.

If you need a hand with anything, feel free to ask, and I’ll see you around at Wealthy Affiliate!

  2. I must admit every time I have come to some survey site I am very quickly let down by the amount of time you have to invest to make a few pennies only. I agree with you that Wealthy Affiliate would be a much better way to go if you are looking to building a long term sustainable business. If you have to spend so much time online doing surveys but earn very little, why not spend the same amount of time building a sustainable business that has much more earning potential and the promise of residual income later on down the track? It is a no brainer for me (however, I always keep one ear out for alternative ways to earn money online, however, I am always disappointed in the end! WA is the way to go…)

    • Liz, I absolutely love your comment. You hit the nail on the head. You literally earn pennies on the dollar exchanging your time for money with these online surveys. Even though Inbox Dollars is one of the better of the bunch, I cannot accept exchanging my time for way below minimum wage. Instead, I would prefer to invest my time into a business I know will reap major returns.

Like you said Wealthy Affiliate is the way to go. There is so much earning potential, it does make it a no brainer. I’m a bit amused to say this because it is true. You have the opportunity to build a business that will generate residual income. How could you beat that?

Keep your eye on the prize, and keep moving forward Liz!
